Yasutake Iwana

​

Born in 1987 in Mie Prefecture, Japan.
He studied painting at Seian University of Art and Design and at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf (Germany).

Based in Shimagahara, Iga City (formerly Shimagahara Village), Mie Prefecture—his place of origin—he produces paintings that engage with the memories, everyday lives, belief systems, and ecological cycles of rural Japan, which are in decline due to depopulation.

岩名泰岳（いわな やすたけ）

​

1987年三重県生まれ。成安造形大学とデュッセルドルフ芸術アカデミー（ドイツ）で絵画を学ぶ。

故郷である三重県伊賀市島ヶ原（旧島ヶ原村）で暮らしながら、過疎化によって衰退していく土地に生きる人々の記憶や信仰、自然の循環をテーマにした絵画制作をおこなう。
